With the ever growing desire
to make share holders happy and line the pockets of the corporate big shots, so
many tools that are available are pretty pricey and often times hard to justify.
So when you come across one (or more) that are just what you need and "Free" -
that is pretty exciting. The majority of the tools (utility software) that
I use and recommend to clients and friends is totally free, which often is
amazing since often times they are some of the best tools available - and I
don't just mean "Bang for the Buck".
Since many of these "Free"
tools have options to accept donations, I occasionally will send them money - I
wonder how often and how much they truly get. These utilities,
applications, websites, etc. took a lot of work to create and continue to take
work to maintain them. Since they save me and my clients money I don't see
why they should not benefit as well - which is why I started this page.
Below is a list of some of my favorite "free" tools with links to their donation
pages. If you use some of these programs or websites, I encourage you to
send a donation - even $5 is helpful when it comes in quantities.
Part of my new method of
helping is to donate a portion of my consulting fees whenever I install these
programs for a client. I am considering making it a line item charge that
I can then pass on to the programmers.
